About | The Lab Basketball

Hello and welcome to The Lab Basketball Training! We train players ranging in age from 4 years old to pros.

We are located at 2527 Carter Ave in downtown Ashland, KY.

We opened in December of 2022 after a 6 month renovation. The facility was once a gym for Means Elementary School and part of the Ashland public school system.

It was restored by Thomas Stephens as a tribute and way to honor the building’s previous owner and his long-time friend, Dr. E.B. Gevedon.

No sitting on basketball
No hanging on rims
No kicking basketballs
No open drinks on the court
No open drinks in the trash

There is court and stage seating
The building and bathrooms are wheel chair accessible
We have heating and air conditioning
Players can bring their own basketball
Our water fountains are down but we do provide bottled water
